Trentham Estate, Staffordshire

The Clock Tower Designed and built in 1840

Trentham Estate has much to offer. Only 5 minutes from J15 of the M6 in Stoke on Trent it really is worth a visit. Set in 750 acres of country parkland estate and is still undergoing a regeneration. A truly unique day out for the entire family.

Overlooking the Italian Garden

Monkey Forest
A really unique experience. The only place in Britain where you can see Barbary Macaques roaming free in 60 acres of lovely English forest. You can have a pleasant walk around viewing the monkeys in close contact. There is a gift shop and a cafe (banana cafe). A fabulous experience.

Ariel Extreme
Next door to the monkey forest you can swing slide and climb your way along the tree-top challenge course above the forest floor. Great fun.

The Lake

Trentham Lake
The Trentham Fern miniature railway runs alongside the shore of the lake which is lots of fun, or you could go on the water by taking a cruise up and down the lake on board Miss Elizabeth Catamaran. On the cruise you will get to see the Heron colony and other wild birds who make the lake home and take in the lovely views of the estate. You can also hire a rowing boat for a while to take it at your own pace.

Gardens and Adventure Play
Re-Opened in 2005 by HRH Prince Andrew. The gardens offer a spectacular scene. The Italian formal gardens runs down to the lake with various restored fountains and a fabulous statue of Perseus overlooks. The gardens are massive, there is even a barefoot area where you walk through various textures including sand, fir cones, you can shower you feet at the end, really refreshing. An eco garden and a woodland trail. Lots of places for the children to burn off all that energy.

Retail Area

Shopping Village & Garden Centre
