Tamworth Castle, Staffordshire

Tamworth Castle is located in the town centre and is only a 10 minute walk from the train station.

You can explore over 900 years of history. Through a labyrinth of rooms you can follow in the footsteps of royalty, nobility and servants. You can venture into the Dungeon and see the grandeur of the Tudor Dining Room, you can go through a series of Victorian rooms there is something for everyone.

The castle is understood to have many ghosts including the white lady who is said to have thrown herself to death from the parapet.

There is an extensive play area in the grounds a gift shop which sells light refreshments and the usual facilities. You can have a guided tour and schools and larger parties are welcome to visit.
